CP1E series PLC by Omron is a Cost effective Series of PLC launched to provide a Full Functionality PLC in Low Cost . There are three types of models available for CP1E namely as:-
CP1E-E - Its Economy Model without any Host Port i.e no RS232 port and neither there is any slot to connect , so you cant connect any HMI or serial Device. This is generally meant to replace relay logic in small applications. Subscribe to Automation-Talk by Email .

CP1E-N - N type Models come with a RS232 port and it comes in I/O of 20 , 40 and 60 . Also the memory of N type unit is large i.e 8K.

Cp1E-NA - This Model comes with analog Inputs . It has 2 analog input and one analog Output.

The Best Part of CP1E model is that you can Program this PLC with widely available USB cable and also you can see the status of I/O's at the PLC front side LED's. CP1E also have High Speed Counter Inputs , so you can now connect Encoder to Inputs. It Comes with Pulse type of Outputs so its good to run Servo drives.
In short CP1E has all the most basic features inside it in a very economical package.
